Donny Deutsch and MSNBC have kissed and made up.
He’s returning to co-host “Morning Joe” after a six-week break that many industry watchers believe was due to the network attempting to appease an unhappy Keith Olbermann.
The former advertising executive is also set to co-host the 8 a.m. slot next week, reports Mediaite.
Deutsch’s last appearance was on April 20, when his scheduled week of hosting “America the Angry,” an hour-long segment examining how the media incites feelings of anger among the public, was cut short after listing Olbermann — MSNBC’s foremost anchor — alongside notorious hotheads Rush Limbaugh, Fox News’ Glenn Beck and MSNBC’s Ed Schultz.
During the segment, radio host Hugh Hewitt called Olbermann and Schultz “the biggest hate-mongers in television.”
Deutsch was noticeably absent from the network following the kerfuffle, despite having been a regular on “Morning Joe” and “Hardball.”
