As his two alleged accomplices were arrested yesterday, a teen accused in a Central Park sex attack on a 23-year-old homeless woman insisted the victim was drunk and consented to the conduct.
“The victim was intoxicated,” said lawyer James Layton Koenig after his client, Robert Gonzales, 18, was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges he sodomized, attempted to rape, and then robbed the 23-year-old Bronx woman.
“Once the facts are laid out, nothing forcible will be proven,” the lawyer said.
Shawn Martinez and Kelvin Dalrymple, both 18, were charged with committing a criminal sex act, attempted rape and robbery, police said.
