NYPD cop tossed from Mets game for being too drunk and rowdy

He may not have been playing for the Mets, but an off-duty NYPD officer was tossed from the ballgame, anyway.

A drunken Anthony Rodriguez, 26, was thrown out of Citi Field on Tuesday night by other cops when a group of fans complained that the police officer was too rowdy, authorities said.

Rodriguez, who lives in the Bronx, refused to leave after he was approached by stadium security guards at about 10:30 p.m., according to sources.

He was “screaming, cursing and making unreasonable noise,” according to sources.

That’s when cops stepped in — with Rodriguez screaming and fighting them, sources said.

“What the f— are you guys doing. … I’m not f—-en leaving,” he said, according to cops.

Amid the mayhem, a crowd started to form and that’s when Rodriguez lashed out at them.

“I’m a real man. F— you!,” he yelled at onlookers, according to cops.

He was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and resisting arrest. He was arraigned this afternoon and released on his own recognizance.
