The Florida home of Devils coach Jacques Lemaire was destroyed by an electrical fire last month, NJ.com reports.
“They called us and said, ‘Your home is on fire.’ It burned all the way down. They can only keep the four walls,” Lemaire told the website today.
Lemaire resigned from coaching in April following the Devils’ first-round playoff loss to the Flyers. He will remain with the Devils in another role.
The Hockey Hall of Fame player told the website it will take up to a year to repair his home. No one was present when the home caught fire.
