An apparently drunk off-duty NYPD cop was thrown out of a Met game at Citi Field by other officers when a group of fans complained that the police officer was too rowdy, authorities said.
Anthony Rodriguez, 26, who lives in The Bronx, refused to leave after he was approached by stadium security guards at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to sources.
He was “screaming, cursing and making unreasonable noise,” said a source.
That’s when cops stepped in — with Rodriguez screaming and fighting them, sources said.
“What the f- – – are you guys doing! I’m not f—ing leaving!” he shouted, according to cops.
Amid the mayhem, a crowd started to form, and that’s when Rodriguez lashed out at them.
“I’m a real man. F- – – you!” he yelled at onlookers, according to cops.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and resisting arrest. He was arraigned yesterday afternoon and released on his own recognizance.
The Mets prevailed 2-1 Tuesday over the Padres, but were rained out last night.
