According to Betty White, technology is to blame for ruining game shows like “Password.”
“The young people now can’t keep up with the game,” she said on “The View” yesterday.
White’s late husband, Allen Ludden, hosted “Password” — a rapid-fire word game where players give teammates a one-word clue to the designated password — between 1961 and 1975.
CBS tried to revive the show as “Million Dollar Password” last year, but it did not do well in the ratings.
White said yesterday that over-reliance on gadgets had created a generation of people who “can’t think on their feet . . . they have to punch [a device].”
