Eric Roberts is giving daytime TV another whirl.
He’s been cast on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” playing an attorney who’s representing prison escapee Adam Wilson (Michael Muhney), according to EW.com.
Roberts will begin filming his role this week in preparation for the July 12 debut of his character. He is set to appear on “Y&R” through August.
Roberts broke into acting in the late ’70s playing the original Ted Bancroft on the now-defunct NBC soap “Another World.” His prolific film career has included roles in “LA Confidential” and “The Dark Knight.”
Recently, he guest-starred on NBC’s “Heroes” and co-starred in the Starz series “Crash,” co-starring the late Dennis Hopper.
Syfy has confirmed that Roberts will star in the upcoming made-for-TV movie, “Sharktopus,” directed by Roger Corman. —
