A mother who feared her 15-year-old daughter was about to flee the country with her 24-year-old boyfriend teamed up with Port Authority cops to nab the wayward pair at Newark Airport just before the pair flew off to the Dominican Republic, sources said.
The mom, who lives in East Brunswick, NJ, stopped the lovers after she got a phone call from her daughter’s friend, revealing the getaway plot.
Discovering that her child fled through a bedroom window, the mom frantically called cops and raced to Newark Airport.
She alerted Officer Jamie Davidson to what she’d been told. Soon afterwards, at 6:50 a.m., Davidson spotted the girl and her older paramour, José Rodriguez Torres, 24, at Gate 128 of Terminal C, preparing to board Continental flight 512.
Torres, who had $6,000 in cash on him and two one-way tickets, is now facing kidnapping and sex charges, sources said.
