A one-legged man was shot in the back inside an Upper East Side housing project last night, authorities and witnesses said.
The 50-year-old victim, who was missing his right leg, crawled out of the Holmes houses on East 92nd Street near First Avenue around 8:30 p.m. screaming, “Help me, I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die,” said a witness.
He was treated at New York Hospital. Officials said he wasn’t cooperating with police.

A man was busted after he was caught on camera opening fire on a crowd in Harlem, police said.
Raymond George, 21, pulled a gun and fired at a group of men arguing near West 131st Street and Lenox Avenue at 11:30 p.m. last Saturday, sources said.
A 17-year-old man was hit twice in the back.
Surveillance video showed a man in a sports jersey opening fire and fleeing the scene.
Cops found George nearby hours later with a similar jersey slung over his shoulder, and he allegedly admitted he had taken part in the shooting.
He was charged with attempted murder, said a spokesman for DA Cyrus Vance Jr.

A man was shot in an early-morning brawl in Greenwich Village.
The 18-year-old man had been arguing with at least three people on East Ninth Street near University Place at 4 a.m. yesterday, cops said.
One of his foes pulled a gun and fired a shot, hitting him in the thigh.
The unidentified victim was in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.
Three men were arrested, cops said.
Brooklyn
A teenage boy was shot twice in the leg last night amid hundreds of people enjoying the warm weather in McCarren Park in Williamsburg.
The 17-year-old was struck around 9:40 p.m. and ran to Lorimer Street and Driggs Avenue, where he collapsed in front of a bodega. He was in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.

A top-ranked borough commander caught a petty crook red-handed after the suspect broke into a van in Kensington, authorities said.
Angel Plaza, 45, was jiggling door handles of parked cars along Caton Avenue near East Fourth Street at 10:30 a.m. Monday when Deputy Inspector John Argenziano, commanding officer of the 78th Precinct, spotted him, sources said.
The commander, on patrol in an unmarked car, followed Plaza to Fort Hamilton Parkway and Dahill Road, where the suspect climbed into a van, sources said.
Argenziano and Lt. Michael Fargo grabbed the crook climbing out of the vehicle in possession of a stolen GPS, authorities said.
He was charged with petit larceny, said a spokesman for DA Charles Hynes.
Bronx
Cops arrested a gun-wielding thug who assaulted and mugged an ex-girlfriend in Fordham Heights, authorities said.
Alfredo Peguero, 20, slugged his ex in the stomach as they walked on 183rd Street near Webster Avenue at 1:10 a.m. on June 11, cops said.
“Give me your wallet and iPod,” Peguero then growled as he pulled a handgun, police said.
He was arrested Thursday and charged with grand larceny and assault, said a spokesman for DA Robert Johnson.
Staten Island
A drunken motorist was busted after he rammed two cars in Concord in view of a cop, authorities said.
Michael Crapanzano, 25 allegedly plowed his 2003 Jaguar into the back of a Hyundai, hit a pole and then a Volkswagen at Giles Place and Clove Road Thursday at 11:20 p.m., cops said.
He was charged with DWI, said a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.

A suspected pill pusher was busted after police found a cache of controlled medication and steroids in his Annadale residence, cops said.
Armed with a warrant, police searched Paul Gullo’s bedroom in his parents’ home on Kenwood Avenue near Poillon Avenue Thursday at 6:45 p.m., cops said.
Detectives found oxycodone and anabolic steroids, the DA said, and Gullo, 25, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Queens
A Kennedy Airport employee went ballistic on a co-worker, smashing him with a pair of bolt cutters in a garage, authorities said.
Kevin Martin, 32, claimed he was defending himself when he turned violent in Building 86 at JFK at 4:45 p.m. last Saturday, according to police reports.
The victim suffered injuries to his right knee, lower back and right wrist, cops said.
“I hit him with the cutters to keep him away from me,” Martin allegedly told cops.
He was arrested on assault charges, said a spokesman for DA Richard Brown.
