Bring a book, straphangers — your late-night and weekend rides are about to take even longer.
MTA officials are extending the time between arriving subways and buses across the city, affecting 38 coach routes and seven different trains.
The changes were announced nearly a week before massive service cuts will take effect, which will usher in the elimination of the V and W lines and eliminate dozens of buses.
Riders will see the additional changes — often only about one to two minutes to wait times — on buses in September and on subways in December. The MTA board will vote next Wednesday.
The 1, 7, F, A, L, J, and M lines are affected, along with bus routes in every borough. It will save the MTA about $3.7 million per year.
