No contract, no love.
Only one-third of public-school teachers said they were satisfied with Schools Chancellor Joel Klein’s leadership this year in an annual survey that for the first time rated the man on top.
The 35-percent approval rating came after a year of battles between union and management — including one over a teachers contract that hasn’t been renewed since it expired in October.
Klein’s oversight rated far better among parents, with 61 percent approving, and principals, with 75 percent rating him favorably.
“You always wish you were rated higher, but I think in general people rated me well,” said Klein. “I need to constantly improve my game.”
