Coffee fiend
A shoplifter swiped some victuals from the Dunkin’ Donuts in the Pathmark shopping center on June 21 — then punched out an employee who tried to stop him.
The thief entered the chain eatery, which is along the Gowanus Canal, at around 1 pm, promptly filled a bag with items from a refrigerator and tried to leave without paying.
When a worker intervened, the donut-crazed madman punched him in the face and fled.
Scare crow
A madman used a crow bar to break into a woman’s Fifth Avenue apartment just after 4 pm on June 21 — but left empty-handed.
The victim reported that the thug successfully entered her apartment while also breaking the molding of the door.
Zoo station
A burglar broke into a car on the quiet stretch of Flatbush Avenue near the Prospect Park Zoo on June 14.
The victim told cops that he’d parked the vehicle between Empire Boulevard and Grand Army Plaza at around 4 pm, but noticed upon his return that the passenger-side window was broken, and his driver’s license and credit cards had been taken.
Cracked up
A bandit took advantage of a broken window on a car on Sterling Place to remove credit cards on June 18
The victim returned at 2 pm to find the cards gone, and quickly canceled them.
Sacketted
Hoodlums broke into a car that had been parked on Sackett Street on June 21 or 22.
The victim told cops that she had parked the car between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 3:30 pm on June 21. When she returned to the vehicle at 12:10 pm the next day, she discovered that thieves had stolen various items.
New ‘Lowe’
A company-owned car was broken into in front of the Lowe’s Hardware emporium on Second Avenue on June 23.
The victim was inside the mega-store at Ninth Street between 8:30 am and noon, when he returned to the parking lot and noticed that the doors were unlocked and his property was stolen.
Gym grinch
A thief broke into a woman’s locker in the New York Sports Club on June 21.
The victim said that she locked her locker before going to work out at 6 pm, but when she returned after her 90-minute exercise, she found the locker open and her property gone from the gym, which is near Fifth Avenue.
