KnifePod
A knife-wielding jerk threatened two people on Bushwick Avenue and made off with an iPod on June 25.
The first victim told police that he was near Boerum Street at about 7:30 am when the perp approached and asked for his iPod. He refused, but the thug pulled out a switchblade and said, “I’ll cut your throat.”
That’s when the victim handed over the new-fangled device, and the perp fled.
Ten minutes later, the thug accosted another pedestrian who was listening to his iPod near Johnson Avenue. The perp demanded the gadget, but the victim refused — that’s when the knife came out again.
“Give me your money or I’ll cut you,” the jerk said. The victim hesitated and the thief got spooked and fled.
Charity case
A cold-hearted thief stole two charity boxes from a synagogue on Bedford Avenue on June 26.
A worker at the shul said that the perp entered the house of worship, which is near Division Avenue, sometime before 2 pm. The jerk cut the locks on the boxes, which were full of donations, and stole the cash before fleeing.
Movers ’n’ fakers
Two hooligans posing as furniture movers swiped a bunch of tools from a Powers Street apartment on June 23.
The victim told cops that he noticed the tools — various saws worth about $1,050 — missing from his apartment, which is between Manhattan Avenue and Leonard Street, at about 7 pm. He said that earlier that day, he noticed the two perps, but they claimed that they were just helping a friend move in.
Subway cuts
A slow-handed bandit tried to steal a man’s wallet and then slashed him with a knife on Montrose Avenue on June 25.
The victim told cops that he was walking into the subway station near Bushwick Avenue at about 11:50 pm when he felt his wallet being lifted from his pocket. Thinking quickly, he turned and snatched his wallet back from the perp, who proceeded to pull out a knife and say, “I have a knife, and I’m going to kill you.”
The violent thug slashed the victim before fleeing out of the subway.
iAttack
Two ruffians brutally attacked a woman and stole her iPhone on McKibbin Street on June 27.
The woman told police that she was between White Street and Bushwick Avenue at about 6 am when the two approached, and one punched her in the face. She screamed, but the second thug told her to “shut up” and threw her to the ground, before the first jerk grabbed her iPhone and $300, then fled.
