Firefighters pulled two window washers to safety at a Midtown high-rise after the motor on the men’s scaffolding went kaput.
The Bravest removed a 26th-floor window from the inside 575 Fifth Ave. to get access to the pair. They had been stranded in the air from about 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
“They had to cut the glass of a window to get him out. It was not a good situation,” said Louis Williams, 41, who works as the doorman in the building where the washers were trapped.
Police rerouted onlookers to adjoining blocks, and firefighters monitored the area to make sure the hanging scaffolding was not a danger to civilians.
“I like the sunshine,” one of the window washers joked to The Post once his feet were back on the ground.
“It was fun,” the other deadpanned.
