I wish it weren’t so because “Tea for the Tillerman” is a great album, but John Stewart and Steven Colbert should apologize to all their followers — sorry, audience — for having Cat Stevens (aka Yusef Islam) on the stage at their rally. Stevens has advocated lynching Salman Rushdie and founded a school whose mission is to “to bring about the submission of the individual, the community and the world at large to Islam.” On the same weekend, a major plot to kill Americans using mail bombs was uncovered and prevented. Will these “peace train” idiots ever learn that there is a war going on?
