Director Ron Howard says he won’t yank a line from his upcoming comedy, “The Dilemma,” that has star Vince Vaughn uttering the line: “Electric cars are gay.”
“Ronny Valentine [Vaughn] has a mouth that sometimes gets him into trouble, and he definitely flirts with what’s OK to say,” Howard told the Los Angeles Times.
Gay-advocacy groups want to stop use of the word “gay” as a term of mockery.
