Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Dr. Watson never looked so good.
Here’s actress Lucy Liu playing a female version of Dr. Watson in the new modern-day adaptation of Sherlock Holmes.
Liu, 43, was photographed for the first time on the set of the new version called “Elementary” in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday alongside co-star Jonny Lee Miller.
The CBS show stars Miller as the legendary sleuth and Liu as his crime-solving sidekick.
Wearing a long raincoat, sweater, boots and short skirt, Liu filmed scenes alongside Miller and at one point even bought a hot dog from a food cart.
Liu will play an ex-surgeon and former NYPD consultant who works as a “sober companion” to Holmes, Deadline.com reported last month.
With “Charlie’s Angels” star Liu in the role, Watson is being re-envisioned as Joan Watson, who lives with Holmes.
Miller, who recently had a run on Showtime’s serial-killer hit “Dexter.”
Robert Doherty is writing and directing the news how with Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly also executive-producing.
