Democrats at war with each other over drilling

Last week, President Obama was in Oklahoma to tout how much drilling for oil and natural gas his administration is doing.

“Over the last three years, I’ve directed my administration to open up millions of acres for gas and oil exploration across 23 different states,” Obama trumpted. “We’re opening up more than 75 percent of our potential oil resources offshore. We’ve quadrupled the number of operating rigs to a record high. We’ve added enough new oil and gas pipeline to encircle the Earth and then some.

“So we are drilling all over the place — right now,” Obama proclaimed.

Last month, the State Department as part of Hillary’s Clinton’s effort at “smart diplomacy” announced the 2012 lineup of films that will travel the world as part of the American Film Showcase.

Trouble is that among a host of films that are supposed to give foreign audiences a “greater understanding” of “American society and culture”, one is a grossly inaccurate anti-drilling propaganda film called “Gasland”.

Now, 32 members of Congress are asking the State Department to explain why the film, which is highly-acclaimed and highly dishonest, is being used to by the State Department as a diplomatic tool when it’s ideologically opposed to current US government policy.

The White House might want to ask State why it is undercutting the president in an election year?
