If you’re itching to go on a clothes-and-shoes shopping spree, wait until Sunday.
Starting April 1, New York state will permanently eliminate the sales tax on all clothes and shoes under $110.
Shoppers will get a break from the 4 percent state sales tax, as well as a 0.375 percent Metropolitan Commuter Transportation District tax.
In the city, purchases under $110 have already been exempted from the city’s sales tax.
