He really put his foot in his mouth.
A former digital-marketing manager for Foot Locker claims an errant tweet got him unfairly dismissed from his job handling the company’s Twitter and Facebook pages.
Jason Wallace, 37, of Brooklyn, was hired last year to increase the sneaker giant’s online presence, and he claims to have netted more than 800,000 new Facebook fans and 3,000 new Twitter followers.
But he was canned in January after accidentally sending out an Eddie Murphy joke on the company’s Twitter account instead of his own.
No one picked up on the gaffe, which was quickly deleted, yet officials went so far as to fight his attempts to collect unemployment benefits, according to court papers.
Wallace is suing in Brooklyn Supreme Court to get his job back or, failing that, $1 million in damages.
Foot Locker reps did not return messages seeking comment.
