Furious city Republicans want the Manhattan DA to probe whether Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver’s kids committed voter fraud by remaining registered at Dad’s home address long after moving out.
“If these allegations are true and the speaker’s family has been voting at a false address to benefit their father, it’s voter fraud — plain and simple,” fumed Daniel W. Isaacs, chairman of New York County’s GOP committee.
Three of Silver’s children have been casting ballot after ballot at their father’s Delancey Street polling place on the Lower East Side even though they live elsewhere, an investigation by The Post revealed yesterday.
The firestorm comes as Silver is already in hot water over his handling of secret payouts to female staffers who say that Brooklyn Assemblyman Vito Lopez groped them.
