Gas prices in California hit record highs overnight at $4.61 a gallon for regular diesel, a jump of 12.8 cents — but it’s just temporary, analysts insist.
The price even reached $5 per gallon at some stations.
But the price surge, caused by last Monday’s power outage at a Southern California refinery that reduced the gas supply, should be temporary because the cost of gas is expected to stabilize this week, the analysts said.
