Jeter pad a steal

For once, Derek Jeter wasn’t the one who scored.

A Brazilian businessman got a killer deal on the 88th-floor UN Plaza Trump Tower penthouse that the Yankee slugger has called home for the past 10 years, sources told The Post.

Claudio Ferro paid $15.5 million this month for the captain’s four-bedroom bachelor pad, a palatial, suede-covered man cave, the sources said.

Ferro, chief supply officer for Anheuser-Busch’s global parent company, moved out of his condo at 15 Central Park West with his wife and their family several months ago, a building source said.

Jeter bought the penthouse pad directly from Donald Trump for $12.72 million in 2001, but he listed the East Side apartment for $20 million in 2010 shortly before splitting with longtime girlfriend Minka Kelly.

The price dropped to $17.92 million in April.

At $15.5 million, Ferro is getting a steal. “You would think they [the broker] would get a higher price based on Derek Jeter’s name alone,” said one mystified broker.

The penthouse features panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, a slate fireplace, 5 1/2 bathrooms and 16-foot-high walls.

The pad also is personalized for Jeter: the shortstop’s No. 2 is inlaid in the wood of the entryway in a baseball diamond shape.

Jeter also set up an eight-person poker table and a pool table — but the furniture was not included in the sale.

The All-Star opted for a smaller Manhattan pad after his breakup, and sources say he hasn’t found a new apartment yet.

Since his split from Kelly, Jeter has stayed under the radar in hotels, a source told The Post.

But Jeter always has his recently built 30,000-square-foot Tampa, Fla., mansion to stretch out in if he gets too cramped.

It was unclear what changes Ferro might make to the palace.

Ferro, who tried to hide his identity by purchasing under an LLC, did not return telephone calls. His lawyer declined to comment, as did a rep for Jeter.
