Robin Roberts ‘Nashville’ cameo

Robin Roberts, who’s recovering from a bone-marrow transplant, will appear on ABC’s “Nashville” in an episode airing on Halloween.

The “Good Morning America” co-anchor, who’s been off the show since late August, plays herself in the episode as she interviews Juliette (Hayden Panettiere), who’s appearing on “GMA” in an effort to boost her career, according to a description of the episode.

Roberts’ cameo was filmed before she left “GMA” to begin her treatment for MDS, a rare blood disorder.

She underwent a bone-marrow transplant last month and will return to “GMA” once she’s strong enough.

“Nashville,” which got off to a strong start, also stars Connie Britton, Clare Bowen, Eric Close, Charles Esten and Jonathan Jackson.
