A pair of Jets got hit with fines Friday.
Defensive end Quinton Coples was fined $10,000 for his facemask penalty on Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, according to a source.
Outside linebacker Aaron Maybin also got fined $7,875 for unnecessary roughness on Luck, according to a source. The NFL deemed Maybin hit the rookie unnecessarily with an elbow.
The hit occurred on an interception by Antonio Cromartie. Maybin blocked Luck cleanly, but then hit him on the ground. It is the second hit that drew the fine.
