An overhead look at costumed characters in Times Square

Times Square has become the Crossroads of the Weird.

A photo taken yesterday shows a staggering 15 costumed characters in just one block — and even more were spotted in the Midtown hub.

The rogues’ gallery of masked menaces included everyone from Puss in Boots and the Statue of Liberty to Winnie the Pooh and a couple of Elmos.

The Times Square Alliance counted 52 on a recent Saturday and expect as many as 100 by summer.

The characters, who pose for photos in exchange for tips, have drawn complaints lately for harassing and groping passersby, and a Cookie Monster allegedly shoved a 2-year-old over a tip dispute.
