The Mets are enduring another rough season — but one of their announcers has a very famous fan.
Big-time Mets fan Jerry Seinfeld recently tweeted his admiration for former Amazin’s southpaw Bob Ojeda, who’s now a studio analyst for SNY, the team’s TV network.
“Bob Ojeda is my favorite person on TV,” Seinfeld tweeted. “insight, smart, energy. just like he pitched.”
Ojeda was a key member of the 1986 Mets pitching staff that led the team to its last World Series championship, going 18-5 on a staff that included Dwight Gooden, Ron Darling and Sid Fernandez.
Seinfeld has been a big supporter of the Mets over the years.
He has, at times, joined SNY announcers Keith Hernandez, Gary Cohen and former teammate Darling in the broadcast booth during games.
