The catwalkers of Victoria’s Secret wouldn’t be caught dead on a Citi Bike — telling The Post that cycling is best kept indoors and off the scary city streets.
“I don’t like the mix of buses and taxi and bikes altogether. Who’s going to get hurt? Me!” Alessandra Ambrosio (center) said Wednesday during a cancer-research fund-raiser at SoulCycle studio in the West Village.
The Brazilian bombshell said she rides her bike in LA but wouldn’t dare rent one in the Big Apple.

“I’m just a little concerned with safety, being on a bike with crazy cars in the middle of the street. I like sports away from traffic,” she said.
The Angels think bike-sharing works in cycling-friendly European cities, but not New York, where renters are less experienced and drivers aren’t used to watching out for them.
“I’m from Amsterdam, where everybody is on bikes but the cars are used to it. That’s the difference. Here the cars are not used to it,” said Doutzen Kroes (second from right).
She added the 40-pound cruisers should come with a helmets.
“It’s, like, super dangerous to ride a bike in the city. And they don’t sell the helmets with it. If they came with the helmet, I would say [yes],” Kroes said.
Another Angel said renting the rides simply isn’t worth the risk.
“I’m kind of scared to ride a bike in New York. It’s a few too many taxis,” said the Los Angeles-based Lily Aldridge (far right).
But Department of Transportation spokesman Scott Gastel insisted, “More bikes means safer streets.”
“DOT has given away nearly 100,000 free bike helmets, and Citi Bike annual members receive bike-helmet discounts,” he noted.
