One of three thugs accused of brutally attacking a gay couple in Chelsea as they left a movie theater in August admitted he was involved in the assault, prosecutors said at his arraignment Wednesday in Manhattan criminal court.
“What are you f—-ts looking at?” screamed Alfonso Lanier, 23 and two fugitive pals at Peter Notman and Michael Felechak as they walked arm and arm, according to a criminal complaint.
One of the victims responded “not much” before the thugs violently pelted them with punches and kicks just after midnight on West 24th Street.
One victim suffered a gash under his lip requiring stitches while the other sustained bruising on his face, prosecutors said.
Lanier – who was out on $7,500 bail for a pending drug rap at the time of the attack – was arrested yesterday and admitted to participating in the beatdown, prosecutors said.
He also has an open criminal trespass case and was convicted of felony drug sale in 2011. He’s charged with felony assault as a hate crime and a judge set bail at $25,000.
The Chelsea attack came just two months after the gay bash slaying of Mark Carson in the East Village.
