Dodge recruits Ron Burgundy for ad campaign
Will Ferrell is reprising the role of Ron Burgundy in “Anchor Man 2: The Legend Continues,” but before that he’s growing out his mustache and donning his most stylish ’70s-style suit to pitch the 2014 Dodge Durango.
The actor is starring in the car company’s latest ad campaign, which has so far featured him expounding upon the many wonders of the S.U.V.’s “standard” glove compartment, taunting a horse and terrorizing two ballroom dancers. The ads, which Dodge started to release on October 4, have unsurprisingly gone viral.
While only a handful of the commercials have surfaced so far, Ferrell is reported to have filmed 70 of them, which should keep Burgundy fans laughing until the sequel to the 2005 comedy hits theaters on December 20.
