Not Kim or Kanye? Then a ticket to Victoria’s Secret show is $14K

Did you want to pop into the Victoria’s Secret fashion show this year?

Hate to break it to you, but it would have cost you $14,000 per seat.

If your name’s not Kanye, Kim K or Beyonce you’d struggle to get in the door, but if you had cash to splash a handful of tickets are auctioned off for charity and available through private entertainment groups each year.

Charity Dreams auctioned off two tickets to the 2013 show and after party, stating that “Victoria’s Secret requires a starting minimum bid of $25,000 for a pair of tickets.

“The tickets entitle the winning bidder to a prime seat location at the fashion show as well as entrance into the exclusive afterparty,” read the auction description.

But the $25K plus price tag does “not include travel or accommodation” so you’re going to have to stump up for that on top.

Another auction site, Hollywood Charity Auction, was also offering two tickets with a minimum bid of $25,000 – but shipping for the tickets was extra, which seems a bit rich considering the hefty investment.

Bespoke event management and luxury concierge company, Pure Entertainment Group, also offers a very limited number of tickets, at a cost of $14,000 per ticket, with an additional estimated commission of $1000-2500.

“It’s important to note that this is one of the most exclusive social events of the year as it attracts celebrities and VIP guests from all around the world,” the company states.

London-based Cornucopia Group offers tickets starting at £9,995 which may be a slightly better deal, depending on the exchange rate of course.

The Victoria’s Secret fashion show has become the Super Bowl of all fashion shows since it started 18 years ago.

While the budget for the first show in 1995 was reported to be just $120,000, it is now 100 times that at $12 million this year.

The star-studded audience has previously included celebrities such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, Orlando Bloom, Elton John, Kings of Leon, Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, Sting, Alex Rodriguez, Martha Stewart, Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest, Adrian Grenier, Malin Akerman, Neil Patrick Harris, Molly Sims, Denzel Washington, P. Diddy, Derek Jeter, Lenny Kravitz, Serena Williams and Gabrielle Union.

Music sensations such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Kanye West, Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Akon, Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Justin Timberlake have all performed at the extraordinary runway event.

The show, which happened yesterday, will be broadcast on December 10, to over 180 countries.
