“House of Cards” will return for its second season on Netflix Feb. 14.
All 13 episodes of the series — which garnered Emmy nominations for stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright and for the series itself — will be available immediately in all territories where Netflix is available, the company announced Wednesday.
In the series, which premiered to critical acclaim last winter, Spacey stars as Francis Underwood, an ambitious, devious US congressman who’s got his sights set on the US vice presidency. Wright plays his equally ambitious wife, Claire — with both hiding horrific secrets that could be exposed by crusading reporter Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara).
Wright, Jodie Foster and Carl Franklin (“Homeland”) are among those who’ve directed second-season episodes.
