Rob Ford scores weekly sports radio gig

The Rob Ford circus is coming to America. Well, American radio at least.

Toronto’s crack-smoking, joke of a mayor is set to make weekly appearances on DC radio station 106.7 FM The Fan’s “Sports Junkies” show, the station announced Wednesday.

Ford, a proud sports nut, will offer up his take on goings-on in the world of athletics and make predictions for the week’s upcoming NFL action.

While a talk radio gig isn’t the sort of thing the mayor of a city with a population of 2.5 million people should have time for, the Toronto City Council recently succeeded in reducing the powers of the more-than-troubled public servant.

For hilarity’s sake, let’s hope this arrangement lasts longer than Ford’s last media venture — the ill-fated “Ford Nation” TV show, which was canceled after just one episode last month.
