At least Oregon shouldn’t have to worry about snow in San Antonio.
Ducks starting tight end Pharaoh Brown has been suspended for the team’s Alamo Bowl game against Texas, following his role in a video that showed University of Oregon students, including multiple football players, throwing snowballs at cars and their drivers on Friday, according to the Oregonian.
Ducks football players organized the event on Twitter on Friday morning, after the Eugene campus became covered in snow.
Other unidentified players in the video have not been suspended, but have been disciplined by the team. Additional punishment could be handed out by the university, after it finishes its own investigation.
Coach Mark Helfrich made the suspension on Sunday and spoke with the drivers of the cars involved, apologizing on the team’s behalf. Helfrich also organized a meeting for the players and one of the drivers to meet in person.
The two drivers featured on the video said they will not press charges.
