When it comes to free Wi-Fi, a charitable couple from the Upper East Side is putting Google to shame.
Mayor Bloomberg is set to announce Tuesday that finance whiz Glenn Fuhrman and his wife, Amanda, have pledged $2 million to underwrite wireless Internet access across 95 city blocks in Harlem for five years.
Ten times the free-Wi-Fi area around Google’s Chelsea HQ, it will be America’s largest, continuous, free Wi-Fi set-up.
