Gal-pal slay suspect will blame it on his mom

Despite Queens prosecutors’ objections, jury selection is set to begin Monday for the trial of a Columbia grad accused of beating his girlfriend to death.

Jason Bohn plans to blame his mom for the 2012 murder of Weight Watchers exec Danielle Thomas, 27, whose last moments at their Astoria home were captured in a voice mail.

His lawyer, Todd Greenberg, said he will rely on testimony from a psychiatric expert to show Bohn, 34, suffered “extreme emotional disturbance” as a result of “maternal abandonment,” court papers show.

The Queens DA Office had its own mental-health expert interview Bohn Friday and asked the judge to delay the case until it receives the results Tuesday.

“The people will not move forward with jury selection with fire by the seat of our pants,” prosecutor Patrick O’Conner argued in court last week.

But Supreme Court Justice Michael Aloise accused the prosecution of dragging its feet on the interview and denied the request.

Jury selection could last two weeks.

Bohn allegedly beat and choked Thomas on June 24, 2012. He faces 25 years to life without parole if convicted of first-degree murder.

The couple had fought constantly at their Astoria apartment, neighbors say. And Thomas filed assault and harassment charges against Bohn on June 7, 2012.

In a cellphone call to her while she was at the 114th Precinct station, Bohn allegedly hissed, “I’ll dedicate my life to hunting you down like a dog in the streets.”

An order of protection was issued, but Thomas allegedly let Bohn back in their home, where they argued about her calling a “508’’ area-code number.

On the night she was killed, a friend of Thomas got a 3 a.m. voice mail from her. On it, Bohn is allegedly heard beating her as he screams, “I love you!” and, “What is the 508 number?”

He fled and called 911 two days later to “check” on Thomas. Cops found her body in an ice-filled bathtub.

He was arrested at a Buffalo Wild Wings eatery in Westchester.

Bohn has told cops her death was an “accident.”
