A teen on Wednesday was charged with attempting to rape a woman in East Harlem, police said.
Kalief Jackson, 15, approached the 34-year-old victim in an apartment building at 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 19Sunday and pushed her to the ground, cops said.
He then began to sexually assault the woman, who screamed and managed to scare him off, law-enforcement sources said.
The NYPD released a building-surveillance photograph of the suspect, and Jackson was identified by police.
He was also wanted for questioning in 11 Manhattan robberies, and is now being charged with eight of them.
