Bronx authorities sacked an alleged ticket counterfeiter, and spiked the man’s 124 phony Super Bowl ducats, officials said Thursday.
Kevin Walker, 42, has been charged with grand larceny, trademark counterfeiting, possession of a forged instrument and forgery devices, Bronx DA Robert Johnson said.
If convicted of all charges, Walker is looking up to 15 years behind bars.
Johnson said Walker’s arrest and seizure of these fake tickets prevented Super Sunday nightmares that could have been inflicted on victims.
“The sale of these tickets would have potentially deprived fans of their hard earned dollars and crushed the dreams of young and old expecting to attend the much anticipated annual climax to the football season,” Johnson said.
Cops seized 124 counterfeit tickets that had a street value of $113,900, authorities said.
“This investigation is significant step in protecting fans from scams that will leave them out of pocket and out of the stadium,” said Anastasia Danias, the NFL’s chief litigation officer.
Earlier this week, Queens authorities busted two men who allegedly had plans to sell with 79 counterfeit tickets.
