The glory days of “American Idol” are fast becoming a distant memory.
Thursday night’s episode hit an all-time-low rating of 1.9 in the coveted adults 18-49 demo — the first time the Fox singing competition show dropped below the 2.0 demo mark in its 13-season history.
The show was off 14 percent from the 2.2 rating it logged the previous night, which was also a series low at the time. Those numbers ranked it third for the night in adults 18-49 behind ABC dramas “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“Idol” was third for the night in total viewers (8.4 million), down 5 percent from last week.
