Nightclub bosses send staff e-mail urging no ‘newsworthy incidents’

The bosses at troubled Soho nightspots Greenhouse and W.i.P. — which were shut down by the cops and may never reopen — have instructed staffers that everyone needs to be on their best behavior.

“We are under tremendous pressure from NYPD and several city agencies to conduct business as usual WITHOUT any newsworthy incidents,” read an internal e-mail sent by security and operations director Ray Gunn after the Saturday raid and obtained by The Post.

The Post reported on Monday that the owners have not reapplied for the clubs’ expiring liquor license, according to sources, and that the businesses may stay closed, although the e-mail claims they shut down for “renovations” — to their image.

“WE WILL BE VOLUNTARILY CLOSING both CLUBS FOR ‘RENOVATIONS’ to revitalize the Greenhouse USA brand name and set a new and higher bar of exclusive clientele,” said the e-mail to staff.

“Greenhouse USA is now officially under new management.”

Among the first orders of business will be addressing lingering back-pay problems.

“Admittedly, the company is currently lacking proper funds to address everyone’s back-pay issues, mainly due to so many violations and monies lost in fines and unnecessary bills,” the e-mail said.

Sources said the clubs’ money woes were tied in part to fines they racked up for various violations, including a court-imposed shutdown after a brawl sparked by rapper Drake and singer Chris Brown.

Ex-partner Barry Mullineaux sold his share of the club in January and is no longer affiliated.

The current owners could not be reached for comment.
