Tragic 911 tapes released moments before Rosie Jaggarnauth’s murder

A murdered Queens woman’s family wailed in anguish Tuesday as they sat in court and heard a 911 tape of her being shot to death, allegedly by her own son.

Rosie Jaggarnauth, 56, had already been blasted three times as she desperately held the phone and cried out for help during the attack in her Springfield Gardens home, which also left her husband Sugrim, shot dead.

The couple was slain by either their son Shane or an accomplice during the Sept. 2, 2011 bloodbath, prosecutors say.

Before the two-minute 911 call was played in Queens Supreme Court, family members of the victims — including the couple’s oldest son, Shawn — wept uncontrollably.

Jurors leaned forward in their seats to try and understand Rosie’s weak voice as she told the operator that she’d been shot.

When the first gun blast was heard on the tape, the victim’s family started crying in court.

Rosie could then be heard on tape saying “ouch,” and wailing in pain, prompting the jury’s forewoman to hold her face in her hands. Another juror shook his head in disbelief.

Even Shane Jaggarnauth — who claims he is also a victim— began to cry in court.

A short while later the second shot could be heard, the fifth overall to strike the woman — and then silence.

“I heard the shot myself,” said the operator to another emergency worker.

The jurors later listened to Shane Jaggarnauth’s call to police, in which he screamed in pain from a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Prosecutors contend that Jaggarnauth had his accomplice shoot him in hopes of making the slaying of his parents look like a push-in home invasion.

“Me, my mother, my father have been shot. My mother and father are dead. Oh my god!” screamed Jaggarnauth, who is facing life in prison for his role in his parent’s murder.

Detectives are also heard on the call asking Jaggarnauth for a description of the gunman.

“I don’t know. He was skinny, dark, black guy, dark shirt and basketball shorts,” he said as he panted.

The alleged accomplice, who was spotted on video, has not been found.

Testimony continues on Wednesday.
