Derek Jeter is leading the All-Star vote for American League shortstops, and he’s also making a young Yankees fans day.
During Monday’s game at Busch Stadium, the Yankees captain motioned to a young fan in the stands wearing a Yankees T-shirt. Jeter threw the ball from the dugout to the youngster who looks thrilled to get the ball from the legendary shortstop. A Cardinals fan came over to high-five the young Bombers fan and check out the souvenir.
The retirement-bound Jeter has been getting gifts everywhere he goes. The Cardinals gave him cuff links engraved with the image of the late Stan Musial along with a $10,000 donation to his Turn 2 Foundation. This was a chance for Jeter to give back.
