Suffolk County police have found a body they believe belongs to a 21-year-old mother who went missing last week, they said Thursday.
The body was discovered in a wooded area in Medford, Long Island near the location where missing mom Sarah P. Goode’s abandoned car was also found, sources said.
Goode had recently broken up with her boyfriend and went missing on late Friday night, police said.
Her 1999 BMW was discovered on Sunday about a mile from the home she lived at with her mother and 4-year-old daughter.
There were signs of a physical struggle inside her abandoned car and her disappearance was deemed suspicious by the Suffolk County Police, authorities said.
Goode’s mother filed a missing person’s report after not hearing from her daughter in several days, according to police.
