The notorious “squeegee man” of Midtown was arrested for the 180th time Tuesday night for illegally washing car windows in Hell’s Kitchen, sources said.
Gregg Washington, who was featured on the front page of The Post three weeks ago with his infamous squeegee and crumpled paper, was caught wiping down cars with Windex at the corner of West 42nd Street and Ninth Avenue at 7:45 p.m., according to law-enforcement sources.
The serial splasher was arrested at the same intersection just five days ago for wiping windows on Sept. 5.
His latest arrest was his 227th bust overall for various offenses, including marijuana possession and other nonviolent crimes
Washington and others have been targeted by cops amid Mayor de Blasio’s and NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton’s quality-of-life crackdown.
“Squeegee men” were once a ubiquitous presence in the city’s crime-ridden days.
