Who would have thought that one of New York Fashion Week’s It girls would be the daughter of a “Real Housewife”? Gigi Hadid, whose mom is “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Yolanda Foster, was just that.
But Hadid is only the latest “Housewives” spawn to captivate us. On the “Housewives” franchise, the kids are often just as fun to watch as their parents — especially when we see them grow from year to year. That, and when they behave badly.
Here are our picks for the 10 most interesting kids to come out of the “Housewives” series, ranked from worst to best.
Ashlee Holmes
If this were a list of the “best” kids from the “Real Housewives” franchise, Holmes would be nowhere near it. The daughter of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Jacqueline Laurita is the worst. The picture of spoiled entitlement, Holmes treated her mom so horribly that eventually, Laurita and Ashlee’s stepdad kicked her out of the house. She’s said countless obnoxious things on the show, but nothing will top the nonshow moment when, in 2011, she had her name legally changed from “Ashley” to “Ashlee.”
Peter Rosello
Miami housewife Alexia Echevarria’s son Peter Rosello grabbed headlines in 2012 when he posted a video of himself punching a homeless man in the groin. He was arrested but didn’t serve any time, just 100 hours of community service. He was arrested again in 2013 for pot possession.
Victoria de Lesseps
New York cast member LuAnn de Lesseps has mostly kept her kids off the show. But her daughter Victoria popped up this past season when Aviva Drescher featured a piece of her artwork during a weird “art show” in her home. LuAnn got real angry when Aviva equated Victoria’s work with her own father’s sexcapades. It was a stretch, but it was also pretty funny. Congrats, Victoria, for fueling a fight without even being there!
Briana Culberson
As the daughter of the original “Orange County” housewife Vicki Gunvalson, Briana has grown up right in front of our eyes. Our baby girl is married with babies now! For years she was the voice of reason keeping her wackadoodle mom in check, but in recent seasons she’s grown far too obsessed with hating her mom’s man, Brooks. Her failure to let her mom be happy keeps her from being higher on this list.
Giovanni Aprea
Giovanni is a welcome addition to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” thanks to his mother Teresa joining the cast this season. He hasn’t really done anything, but says he wants to go into the restaurant business — and he’s really hot, to boot.
Gigi Hadid
Hadid’s time on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has mostly consisted of her mom Yolanda making weird comments about her body and her eating. Now Gigi’s a super hot real-life model. Congrats!
Nicholas Dubrow
There is one reason and one reason only that “Orange County” housewife Heather Dubrow’s son makes this list, and it’s because of a hysterical line that came from his lips when his parents announced they were moving to a new home in the season before last. “But we were just starting a life here!” the little boy said.
Jake Cibrian
Who could forget when “Beverly Hills” housewife Brandi Glanville ignited a storm when her little boy urinated on Adrienne Maloof’s lawn in Glanville’s first season? It was adorable, and Glanville’s recognition of such — while all the other Housewives chirped about inappropriate conduct — made us love her all the more.
Shane Keough
Jeana Keough is long gone from “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” but luckily, her super-hunky son Shane still endures in various outlets. A former minor league baseball player, the 6-foot-3 stack of man meat is now a model and actor. In 2013, he starred in the gay romance “Capital Games.”
Milania Giudice
The No. 1 spot on this list goes to the singular sensation that is Milania, “New Jersey” housewife Teresa Giudice’s 8-year-old daughter. Segments on the show regularly feature her saying horrible things to her family members and just generally terrorizing the home.
In other words, she’s the star of the show.
