Uncle Ben would be steaming mad!
A teenager and two pals broke into a train at a Jersey City rail yard — to swipe nearly 1 ton of rice, police sources said.
James Anderson, 19, and two other alleged crooks cut the lock on a rail car at Global Terminal and loaded 32 cases totaling 1,920 pounds of Canilla Rice into a GMC Yukon at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Port Authority police said.
When cops showed up, two of the rice-wrangling thieves bolted, leaving Anderson sitting in the SUV on Port Jersey Boulevard.
Swiping the grain wasn’t the only way the teen sewed wild oats: An officer who searched the ride discovered a small, clear baggie of crack cocaine on the floor of the vehicle, the police sources said.
Anderson was charged with theft of the rice, which was valued at $2,000, and possession of a controlled substance. The vehicle was impounded.
Cops are still searching for the other two thieves, police sources said.
