Two new faces are joining the cast of “Justified” for the FX Western drama’s final season.
Sam Elliott (“Tombstone”) and Garret Dillahunt (“Raising Hope”) will have recurring roles in the upcoming sixth season, which premieres in January.
Elliott will play Markham, a legendary Kentucky gangster who butts heads with deputy US marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) after returning from exile.
He will try to win back his empire as well as the lost love of his life, Katherine Hale (Mary Steenburgen), who secretly believes that Markham is the rat who brought down her husband.
Dillahunt has been cast as Walker, a military special ops veteran who now handles security for a quasi-legal businessman and whose battle-inflicted personal demons will be drawn out by Raylan and Boyd.
“Justified,” which is based on the Elmore Leonard novella “Fire in the Hole,” follows a lawman (Olyphant) who finds himself drawn back to his home state of Kentucky. Nick Searcy, Jacob Pitts, Erica Tazel, Joelle Carter and Jere Burns co-star.
