Rams (+7) over EAGLES: Rams coach Jeff Fisher has endured by hanging within striking distance into fourth quarters — and winning a sufficient percentage. This appears made to order, with quarterback Austin Davis (completing more than 72 percent of his passes this season) playing the gadfly. Wildcat appreciates Nick Foles, but he could be a tad gun-shy off the pummeling he absorbed in San Francisco. The Eagles’ running game has under-performed, and the defense remains questionable. Rams (+7) make Eagles sweat, for one unit.
LIONS/Bills Over 44: Quarterback Kyle Orton’s spotless 4-0 record against the Lions is ancient history (the most recent win coming with the Bears in 2008), but don’t doubt Orton will show greater levels of poise than has EJ Manuel. Lions’ front is strong against the run, but C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson will dictate a measure of defensive respect, which should ease the Buffalo passing game. Bills can rack 20-plus points, thus prodding LIONS/Bills Over 44, for one unit.
