Willem Dafoe sells West Village pad for $2.87M

Iconic actor Willem Dafoe has sold his “starter” West Village apartment for $2.87 million.

The price is less than the $3.1 million asking price, but still far higher than the $1.6 million that Dafoe paid for the apartment at 67 Perry St. in 2005.

The sale was noted by CityRealty and brokered by Halstead’s Richard Oreinstein.

Dafoe and his wife, Giada Colagrande, have since moved into a grander, $3.99 million, two-bedroom, two-bath penthouse co-op at 68 Jane St., otherwise known as 812-814 Greenwich St.

The Perry Street town apartment was also a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit that took up a full floor in a historic 1878 townhouse on “arguably the prettiest tree-lined block” in the West Village, according to the listing. It comes with high ceilings, exposed brick walls, a wood-burning fireplace and a separate “study nook” with built-in bookshelves. There’s also an Italian farmhouse-style eat-in chef’s kitchen.

Dafoe also sold the two-bedroom home he owned in Accord, NY, which he first put on the market for $850,000 in 2008. It sold for $435,000 in 2012.
