You want the truth?
Jack can’t handle the Lakers!
(Son, we live in a world that has baskets, and those baskets have to be guarded by men with sneakers. Who’s gonna do it? Lin? You, Carlos Boozer? Kobe has a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Showtime and you curse Byron Scott…)
The look on superfan Jack Nicholson’s (sleeping?) face Sunday night at Staples Center pretty much sums it up as the Lakers fell to 1-9 with a defense-less 136-115 loss to the Golden State Warriors.
Getting no help from his teammates, the 36-year-old Kobe Bryant scored an utterly futile 44 points on 15-of-34 shooting in just 31 minutes.
“Obviously I’d rather get guys involved early, but if a purse gets stolen in front of you, how many blocks are you going to let the guy run?” Bryant constructed as a metaphor, according to ESPN LA.
“You going to chase him down and keep him in sight yourself or just wait for the authorities to get there, or decide to let him run and wait for the authorities to get there? It’s a tough thing.”
